is the AMD Athlon 64 pins the same size as the ryzen cpus

i have a ryzen cpu with some missing pins, i was wondering if i could take the AMD Athlon 64 pins and use them.

Socket AM4 pins should be smaller.

The Socket size hasn't changed (40mm x 40mm) vs AM2 / AM3 / AM3+, but the number of pins increased.

Pin size (diameter) is different.

Poor 3600.

How many pins are missing? You may have gotten lucky and the pins weren't necessary/reserved for future use (like Zen 3).

If they aren't, see if you can find a broken chip on eBay.

Also, don't kill the Athlon 64!

Try it, see what happens. Worst case scenario, you still have a dead CPU...

my friend might have a broken one, i think a 2600 he might give it to me to repair mine

so i checked the pin out of the cpu i am missing a ground and a couple of audio pins nothing to do with the memory

These are the socket holes dimensions. Pin diameter is the same since socket 754 but what changed is the pin pitch (distance between center of two pins). AM4 has 1mm and therefore the pin pad (the small pad at the bottom of the pin) is smaller (was not able to find the dimensions). And there is also change in pin length (AM4 pins are shorter).
