If you only have 5 games, your good with 115gb

I plan on getting more games, but yeah not that muhc games, and i will only put the good ones on SSD. What ssd should i get tho? I was looking at the HyperX, due to looks, good reviews, and good price

Anything but the m500... honestly both the 3k and the evo are great drives but crucial isn't the best at making high end ssd's.

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

OK. Evo and HyperX are about the same price for 120gb, what do you recomend?

The HYperX looks good, but can anyone find a chart comparing the two?

Kingston drives are well known for being quite reliable but the Evo has features that might be compelling like the software that will tell you when your drive is near its "end". Personally I'd go with the 3k just for aesthetics to match my build.

Edit: also 120GB will not be much, unless you plan on never installing games on it, in which case it would be fine.

That is like the dumbest statement ever.

m500 is a pretty fast drive and can easily spank the 3k, when it comes to incompressible data and performance consistency. And ofcourse  it doenst have any sandforce related problems.

Don't get fooled by 550/500 figures dammit... They mean nothin'

@spwath

Get the 240GB m500. Its the cheapest and performs just fine. Its not like you will notice the difference betwen evo and m500 in real world anyway.

Why the hate towards Crucial </3

Because people are idiots and get easily fooled by inflated numbers.

i've been reading. if out-of-box performance (if you'll even notice the difference) matters the most, then get the EVO. But if you want a long-lasting drive, go for crucials synchronized MLC chips. IMO, EVO is overrated.. i actually just bought myself a 960gb crucial m500
