LTE=4g. (aka 4g lte)

I believe its the name for the largest gen of celuler. But im no sure. Fur now 4g and lte are the same.

No. At least do a cursory google search before spouting bullcrap from your behind.

LTE - Long Term Evolution was the original term because companies didn't want to pay for true 4G equipment and the experience for users so they called it LTE so they could slowly roll it out without having to say "faster than 3g but not exactly 4g yet"

Yup, and now because people think LTE means it's 'advanced' companies don't want to switch to just saying 4G even though we now have a true 4G experience :)

Where did WiMax fall in to that? Because technically that was 4G as well.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I had completely forgotten about WiMax, lol. If I remember right that died because everyone focused on LTE to get to true 4G and people stopped caring about it pretty much.

If I recall correctly WiMax was technically faster at the time. However LTE is based on GSM. Which means LTE is a more "Open" standard. Sprint/Clearwire was the only ones to deploy it and Clear Wire died in 2013 and Sprint later switched to LTE. If you ask me, thats one of the reason Sprint went in to the shitter. Because they had to be deferent and it didnt end well for them.
