Recently, I just got my pc done and upon turning it on, it didn't boot into bios for the first time. So I updated the bios and it booted. Installed windows, updated and benchmarked. I was trying to ramp up my mem speeds thru DOCP, however, I just can't get a boot. So I managed to keep it at 3466Mhz with timings 18-20-20-20-40 1.35V. It did work... for 9 hours until it just hung and won't boot again. It's stuck at a post code error 7A. I have already reseated my ram and cpu just like in the forums. I also cleared my CMOS and reflash BIOS but still didn't work. Any suggestions?

Specs:
Ryzen 3700x
X470 Asus ROG Crosshair VII WiFi
16x2 Corsair CMW32GX4M2Z3600C18 Memory

People are saying a new mobo is the solution. Try resetting the bios and boot up to windows. Restart and try it again.

EDIT: Shit. Saw that you cleared your CMOS. But try again and reboot and then OC again.

Hmm. Have you tried running the RAM in different slots? I am not sure why it would do this other than that the motherboard is bust.

However, if I turn on the pc for 30mins and press the reset button, the code changes from 7A to code 55. Which means memory not installed

Yeah. Definitely a mobo issue.

Could also be the RAM itself. Try with different RAM and see if the issue still occurs.

Any mobo would do as long as it passes your standards haha

The Gigabyte B550 Aorus pro AX would be good. Not very expensive or cheap. Kinda in the middle. Very good boards for the price.

anything above 3200 is not guaranteed to run on that CPU

try enabling DOCP but set speed to 3200

or maybe see if the RAM DOCP profile has 3200 MHz, some of them have 2 profiles

check ram stability with memtest86

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

He has tried switching to other speeds and tried a new RAM set. The motherboard has to be the issue here.

i didnt see him run below 3200mhz, which is AMD's official spec (even then, it might not be stable but the chance is low)
