Radiator Screws

and i wanted to replace the stock fans with the scythe kaze slim

22mm 6/32 should be a good fit. Grab some with a wider head on them. Also grab some 6/32 washers just in case.

if you buy soc cap screws keep in mind that its mesherd tip to tip and the soc cap is like 1/8 thick i found this out the hard way.

do you have a link where i could get it from by any chance? what is the diameter though? because i know it can vary as well.

the soc cap screws have a deep head on them and when you look for the length of a screw its tip to tip in stead of bottom to bottom of the screw head and the soc cap is thick so you loses 1/8 to that length

ahh so i lose 1/8 of the total length to that. so thats why 22mm tip to tip including the head of the screw. is that correct?

Do you know the diamere of the screw body not the head?

ya but this is only for soc head screws

thanks for the help though. so if i get the total screw length of 18mm not including head will that bne alright?

i guess it depends witch screws you buy and were you buy it. if its just thread length or total length.

the point is you should do the math yourself to see how long you need. thickness of the fan, thickness of the case, how much thread will screw in the the rad, dose the rad have tread stop or not. and if you have a gill you have to add that to the total.
