I think it's HDMI 1.4 (with HDCP support). I haven't tried using display port since I don't have one and the monitor didn't include one. It says on the website that my monitor is Resolution (native) : FHD (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz) but the Display scan frequency (vertical) : Up to 75 Hz. Is this monitor only support to 60hz or what can it go to 75hz?

(I think) That's your problem right there: it's HDMI 1.4. In my experiences, HDMI 1.4 doesn't play well at all with higher refresh rates past 60Hz.

Just get yourself a DisplayPort cable and it should allow you to get to 75Hz as intended.

Hello!

I'am not sure where to put this thread on but here it goes.

I recently got a PC with rx 570 4gb installed and bought a new monitor that is HP 24 mh. I'am pretty sure that his monitor support 75 hz. Currently using HDMI cable and it seems that I cannot find the option to set my monitor refresh rate to 75hz, I tried looking it up on advanced display setting from windows and there is only 3 option which is 59 - 60hz. I tried to make a new resolution using 75hz with the amd adrenaline software but it said that my monitor doesnt support the settings.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have not found any solutions yet for the past 2 weeks. Thank you!

What HDMI revision does your monitor have? The RX 570 should be able to output a 75Hz resolution just fine.

By any chance, does using DisplayPort change anything?

thank you! since a guy tried with an acer 5 laptop with the stock HDMI cable from the box and it shows 75hz so I was wondering if there's something wrong with my rx 570

Huh, that's a bit unusual if it worked there. I know the 570 has HDMI 2.0 capabilities, so unless the cable you had isn't a High-Speed cable or whatever the fuck they're called, the 570 wouldn't be the problem here.

Still, DisplayPort is less finicky in my experiences with monitors period, so that's always the good route to go down.

I will buy the display port soon but for temporary fix, will updating any drivers from device manager fix this problem?

Update: I just plugged in my monitor with the same hdmi cable with my laptop and it can display 75 hz just fine. Do you know why my rx 570 is not displaying 75 hz option?

Huh, that's unusual. By any chance, have you checked the List All Modes option for you GPU?

Like this.

My monitor is different, of course, but if it can do 75Hz with your laptop, it should be able to do so on the 570.

Yes, I have checked the list all models options and there is no 75hz listed while when I plugged in my laptop with Nvidia graphic card there is 75hz listed.

Strange. Have you tried reinstalling your drivers (or installing a different version of drivers) for your 570?

And the weird thing is, if there is a mistake on windows, I should be able to set 75hz by force from the amd adrenaline software on the set custom resolution option but it still won't let me, it said that my monitor doesn't support the settings.

Yeah, that's really strange. I'm out of ideas here, unfortunately, but it does seem like something with the 570 doesn't wanna play nicely with your monitor for whatever reason.

I'll let you know if it is going to work with display port. Anyway, thank you for the replies and help.
