SOLVED:  Turns out that \\FREENAS\Backups is different than \\Freenas\Backups
Case sensitivity... it'll get you every time.

I recently moved, and when I moved I disconnected my whole network and now when i put it back together in my new place my desktop can't see my network drives.   I said, "whatever, I'll just disconnect from them and reconnect..."  Well, my computer can't see the network drives when I try to map them in explorer using the "map a network drive" wizard and it won't accept my just typing in \\freenas\backups as the location.  This is odd because my firestick can access the NAS box and it shows up in my router so I know it is both connected to the network and is working.

Windows 7 x64 and FreeNas 11

Anyway other way I can force windows to see the SMB shares?

It must be true, I read it on the internet...

I had a feeling that you will solve it on your own,

Those kind of problems usually happen when you forget about something small that is necessary for things to work.
