Logitech G935 or G Pro X Lightspeed ?

RisingRose

I have a Logitech G933 right now and it's kinda dying so i wanna switch and i don't know whether to take the revised version of mine, the G935 or the G Pro X Lightspeed.

i'm looking for a good wireless headset with surround sound and a passable mic as i intend to take a stand in mic in not too long.

maily using it for gaming sometimes movie/anime watching and listening to music.

i'd rather stay on logitech becaune i've got all logitech peripherals (one software is enough) and had pretty much no problem so far but i'm open to other suggestions

Why surround sound? Do you even know what that is. Anyway seriously. I will recommend something that isn't related to logitech since their audio products are absolute garbage. The HyperX flights are the best bet for you.

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.

surround sound is useful when playing games that benefits from having directional sound giving the possibility to locate sound more accurately.

i've been getting very used to the 7.1 on the 933 and i'd rather not pass on that as i can afford it.

i've read and watched a few reviews about the HyperX and if it didn't change since around the start of 2020 it doesn't seem like it's for me.

also i disagree that logitech audio products are garbage but i'm not much of an audiophile.

You are wrong here. Surround is not beneficial at all on headphones. You can't achieve true surround with drivers 2cm from your ears. That is not how it works. How to get "surround" headphones is just to have really good stereo headphones. Such as the HyperX cloud 2 wireless when that comes out. Or the flights. Trust me. Logitech's products are just marketing gimmicks. All headphones that claim to have true 7.1 surround is a gimmick. You can get virtual surround sound through software through your PC. Especially if you have wired headphones you can play with the sound and use virtual surround as well. There are DACs out there that have better surround that some crap wireless logitech headset. I had the Logitech G633 which are basically the same but wired. They sounded tinny, muddy and not good at all to my DT 990 pros I use now. And I didn't even amp them which I missed out on much more. So I guess you haven't heard good audio yet.

Also, putting surround sound on through your headphones does not benefit in games. Especially not games that have 3d sound processing (90% of all games) which uses stereo and not surround configuration. This will just make it sound horrible. You are essentially putting 2 layers of surround sound on your games.
