Need some help with RAM - Ryzen 2700x and G.Skill Trident Z RGB

yowyeh2

Hey guys, I built my gaming PC in Dec 2018 and at the time only had 2 sticks of RAM but had them running at 3200mhz. For Black Friday I decided to get some more of the same RAM (G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3200C16D-16GTZR), and I tried to OC all 4 of them to 3200 but my PC just refuses to boot until I put the memory back to auto (which I think is around 2333mhz). I had a look at CPU-Z and it said my DRAM manufacturers were different, I have 2 sticks from SK Hynix and 2 sticks from Samsung which I guess also correlates with the fact Thaiphoon Burner just said "8gb / 1die". Is the two different manufacturers a big issue? And if not will I be able to OC all 4 sticks of RAM to 3200mhz.

My specs are: ROG STRIX B-450F GAMING, Ryzen 2700x, Gigabyte 1080ti, G.Skill Trident Z RAM, Samsung 860 EVO 500gb and a Samsung 870 QVO 2TB.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

The Trident-Z you have is lower end B-die.

The 2700X memory controller just doesn't like running four sticks of memory.

You will be stuck at a lower speed just for running 4 sticks. This is all the issue really is here.
