Type-C internal Header Question

I've purchased the be quiet! 802 Silent Base case and planned to purchase the MSI B550 gaming plus motherboard later today, but I've just realized I saw an oversight on my part. The internal header on the Gaming Plus says 

 

1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 5Gbps Type-C port

 

And the Front Panel I/O of the Silent Base indicates that the Type-C port is 

USB 3.2 Gen 2

 

If I purchased the motherboard, it should still be compliant with the front panel connector even though its Gen 1, correct? Thanks for the help! This threw me for a loop and made me question if it'll work or not.

USB are backward compatible, so if you plug it in a lower version header, it will still run in that specifications.

the rule of thumb is if you can plug it most probably it will run.
