Case fans won't turn on. Help....

Asan Ploto

Ok so this is my first pc build ever and for the case I decided to get a Xigmatek Aquarius Plus and once I got everything plugged in and all. I turn it on and the fans just seem to give a little budge and then not work at all. They also give the same little budge when I turn off the PC. Otherwise everything else seems to be running just fine. Any way you guys can advice me?

P.S: the fans are connected to the motherboard which would be an ASUS Rog Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard if it helps.

Yes. It posts. Everything works literally just the case fans and I'm starting to think that I might be just missing an adapter. I wanna try plugging it into the PSU itself and not the motherboard

Oh. I was under the assumption that your PC wasn't working.

If it is, sounds like your fans don't have enough power.

See if manually spinning them allows them to keep spinning.

i see, can we get a photo/video of the setup?

normally fans should spin up, then stop (if you set it to stop under light load, but i never seen motherboard manufacturer set it to 0rpm fan mode out of the box)

it budging means it's receiving power, at least

Nope. Spinning them doesn't result in much however I found that I might find an adapter that will connect it to the power supply instantly.  This is the one I am getting the adapter for

Check your BIOS, your fans might be monitoring something weird and have a 0rpm mode by default.

If you power them my molex, they'll run at full speed constantly. It works temporarily but I'd figure out why your fan headers aren't working.

So the molex plug is only a temporary solution? Hmmmm. Well I'm new to this whole thing still. Might I ask you how I can check my Bios? All of you guys have been telling me that and I don't know if I've even done that or not.

When booting up press the delete key over and over again, you should get to it.

Using the molex power to test if they work is a good idea though.

Dont they seem like they work? How the fans move a bit then stop. Like a sudden twitch nothing more or less
