I heard somewhere I can crossfire my 7970 with a 280x, so when I want to upgrade that would be a good option for me. But how does that work. How do you do it, 7970 has crossfire connector, 280x doesn't from what I know?

Please help.

Pretty sure the only card that doesn't have a connector is the 290/290x. Could be wrong.

Those two chips are basically the same so you should theoretically be able to crossfire them.

so I could just slap em both in, plug them up and they are ready to go? do I not need to change any clock speeds or anything?

You might have to put the 280x in the top slot for crossfire to work but thats all
