RTX 2060 Super or GTX 1080TI

Exace

I'm planning to upgrade my GPU to something like an RTX 2060 Super but I've been looking to the used market and found this 1080ti for roughly the same price as  a new RTX 2060 super where i live the owner says he used it for 3 months but lost the receipt to it so there's no warranty to it should I find another one or go for it? there's other GTX 1080TI's for cheaper but longer use so I don't know if its a good decision, but most of them usually gone by like 20 minutes after the listing went up.

The RTX 2060 Super has the RTX instead of the GTX so it sounds better.

but the 1080ti is faster and I think that ray-tracing is just a gimmick soo idk

No idea, sorry :(

The newest graphics card I own is a GTX 750.

I am going to flip a coin.

Heads = 1080 Ti

Tails = 2060 Super

Heads!

I vote 1080 Ti then.

If you don't care about the improvement to the nvenc encoder or RTX then the 1080ti is faster. If you stream or record games often or want to use raytracing in games than the 2060 super is the better choice.

The 1080 Ti is about the same performance as a RTX 2070 Super (they're actually tied in many games). And the 2060 Super is not strong enough that raytracing would matter on it.

So go with the 1080 Ti. I actually bought one myself 2 months ago for 4K games and I'm very happy with it.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
