I keep all my files on my boot drive, for a gaming PC it's plenty fast.

Are you considering editing large video or photo files, and you need ultra high speed access to your data?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

It's for Blender files. Not sure if it impacts rendering.

I keep important files separated on another drive.

Reason is boot drive can screw up anytime, broken OS, bad windows update that force me to reset / reinstall.

If you don't have anything on the boot drive, you can just wipe it off, saving time on backups.
