Old cooler for new build?

Honestly I don't know if i should post here or in the cooling forum but my problem is pretty simple so hopefully you guys could help me out.

long story short im building a new rig and happen to have an old aio lying around, I know these things aren't exactly meant to last or whatever but the thing is I haven't used it in about 2ish years now and presumably there's only water in it so i doubt there's any algae growth and it hasn't gotten hot enough to evaporate. So, I'm wondering if I can use it in the new rig or if I should replace it?

New cpu: ryzen 5 5600x

Old cooler: corsair h100i gtx

As long as it didn't leak I don't see why not. These things could be sitting in a warehouse or on the shelf for a long while prior to being sold anyways.

One issue that might come up is the 5600x is am4.  Gonna need an am4 bracket to use it.  If it turns out you don’t have one they can often be acquired.  The two issues that come up with old AIOs are pump failure and liquid permeation.  If the pump works it works.  Liquid permeation makes for more bigger bubbles which can make noise. Shouldn’t affect function much though unless the bubbles are really really large. If the thing really just has distilled water in it it may be possible to put in more.  Or just deal with bubble noises.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
