Hey guys,

My Laptop was working fine this morning and I did not do any kind of windows or driver updates. After shuting down and switching it on this afternoon it shows this problem.

And it has been in this cycle. I am sure that I am typing the correct password. I even connected my laptop with ethernet inorder to make sure it was not the problem of wifi.

Is there any way to bypass this and just go to that recovery menu.? Also do I have to reset my laptop? (I don't want to because there any many important files in here 😢)

please help.

any help is much appreciated..

Did you read the "keyboard layout:US" it tells you about? Use the eye thing to check your password is actually correct with that layout...

Then you'll probably have to put the drive in another PC or boot off e.g. a linux USB drive in order to copy your important files somewhere else and reinstall.

Do you have an 8GB+ flash drive and another computer with Windows?  If so, I'd recommend making a bootable Windows installer, loading that (you'll have to disable Secure Boot in your BIOS, probably in the security section), and choosing the Troubleshoot option.  Load command line and type these commands:

sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C: /offwindir=C:\Windows
chkdsk C: /f /v /r

You make have to swap "C" for a different letter (try D if C doesn't work, then E, and so on).  The first command does a file check and attempts to repair Windows, and the second scans your drive for errors and tries to repair them.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!
