60% GPU USAGE ON RTX 2070 SUPER!!! HELP

IronGrandpa

Ryzen 5 2600
(2) 8 gb ddr4 Hyper X Fury

1 tb toshiba hdd (2666 mhz)

256 gb ssd

MSI Ventus OC Edition RTX 2070 Super

650 watts corsair

Msi b450m Mortar Max

I benchmarked and I'm not getting 90% gpu usage,
I tried tweaking in game settings, the nvidia control panel, I update my bios. I really don't know what to do anymore is the gpu that I bought faulty?

It is likely a CPU bottleneck, is this Modern Warfare? what speed is your memory running at?

Hey Apex thanks for replying! Yes this is modern warfare, I can see other people's benchmarks and they're doing fine they have the same cpu, my memory speed is running at 2666 mhz do you think I can solve this or should I just return the gpu back to the store?

Yeah it is a CPU bottleneck, other users are getting similar FPS on a Ryzen 2600 in Modern Warfare

Memory speed isn't ideal but it's fine, you'd likely be getting lower FPS than other users who are on 3000-3200Mhz but not by a huge margin, from what I'm seeing around 100FPS is what the Ryzen 2600 can achieve at stock, if you want to test your card alone it is more reliable to use synthetic benchmarks like Unigine Superposition as it removes the CPU out of the equation.

I've done some browsing on the internet and one of the things I found was that there is 0% bottleneck on the bottleneck calculator is this accurate?

Modern Warfare is a cpu hog. 2600 is still decent and should not bottleneck 2070S in most titles. Homever that titel is very cpu intensive so oyu have a cpu bottleneck in that title. Even my r7 3700x is struggling at high frames at that game.
