Will CPU OC clear after being disconnected from PSU for 10+ months?

Hello,

so I've had an old asus z270e + i5 6600k lying around for a while now and finally got round to selling it but when removing it around 10 months ago now I never reset the OC, do you think these OC settings would've cleared by now or am I going to have to pull out my current mobo and put the old one in to set it back to default?

I've read that as my motherboard has been disconnect from the PSU for so long the battery button should've drained and that'll clear the settings, however I have no idea how credible this is?

any help welcome, cheers.

Just clear the CMOS (take out that small battery and put it back) and the OC will be gone from the system.
