I believe I am now confused by your question, as far as I know from my own experience. When setting up Shadowplay you may choose the bit-rate for the video to be recorded in, the minimum is 10 and the max is 50.

Ah that I don't know, It looks really good on playback though. Almost exactly like when you're playing the game.

It presumably uses 24 bit colour, as far as I know the colourspace isn't adjusted although it could be, but its certainly post image creation and hence 8 bit colour channels.
