Upgrade to another stick 8gb of 2666mhz RAM. (So you have 16GB).
Also 256GB probably isn't enough, maybe get a 1/2TB HDD (so you have a 256GB SSD + a HDD)

geometry is hard

A.  I would advocate before you do ANYTHING, watch a lot of Youtube videos from Bitwit, JayzTwoCents, LTT, Pauls' Hardware, and especially Tech Deals (he covers a lot more practical aspects).  I say this as you mention you know nothing.  Learning more about this is ideal.

B.  Do A some more before spending any money ;)

C.  Get another 8GB of RAM, you are using 1 stick.  PC's prefer 2 sticks in tandem (known as dual channel).

D.  Add a HDD, as said above.  256GB is very small for Windows and games.

E.  Do some more A.

I have looked on youtube for this specific pc and seen very little on this model but a few videos on a different model

I meant just learn more about building computers, components, etc.  Not just your specific machine.

Learn why 1 stick of RAM is bad.  Why you may want SSD's over HDD's.  What motherboards support what processors.  What PSU's are needed for what builds.  Etc. etc etc.
