Hi All,

I took the steps of building my PC...I should have come here first (le sigh). Any way I have build the system and below is my set up. I want to know the safest way to overclock my setup in safest way so that my CPU is working at the best speed possible.

Ryzen 5 3600X

Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 CL15 Memory

Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive

ROG Strix 750W GOLD

GPU will be a 6800XT (If I can actually get one).

Hi @eeeee1

As much as I love Anthony...I haven't a clue what he's on about. Let's start with something really simple and set the RAM to the max speed. How would I do that? Would I need to change the stock CPU cooler?

You could be lazy and just turn on XMP but what he is doing is going into detail to explain which voltages and clock speeds to change. since you are both using ASUS, if there is a "Lookup" feature in your BIOS, just use that to find each voltage/clock speed.

As for your unfortunate stock cooler, while not terrible, won't be enough for anything really "redline". I wouldn't push your cpu past a few hundred MHz.

Hi @eeeee1

Well I start with lazy until I learn more about this overclocking process. I can't mess with it too much as I need my PC for remote working as well. I'll have to do some more research. Thanks for the information.
