Is my RAM capable?

Go to solution Solved by Wtalk2,

From what I understand with OC memory speeds, when you plug in the 2133 memory it run by default at 1333MHz and you should be able to either apply XMP for the 2133MHz profile or very easily overclock the memory to 2133MHz since that is what it is made to run at. Also I am sure your won't damage your system by putting higher speed memory in it if it doesn't support it. It will either automatically downclock it or it will just refuse to boot with that memory installed.

Hey if my motherboard says it supports :

  1. Support for DDR3 3000(O.C.) / 2933(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.) / 2666(O.C.) / 2600(O.C.) / 2500(O.C.) / 2400(O.C.) / 2200(O.C.) / 2133(O.C.) / 2000(O.C.) / 1866(O.C.) / 1800(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 MHz memory modules

Does that mean I can use 2133 stock memory on it?

And can it damage the motherboard?
