Pc beeped once at me (short) whilst using system.

I have assumed that this is due to the pc telling me that im about to use too much ram since this has occurred twice both times when i was using houdini running quite a heavy scene(for my pc) taking up about 27gb of ram out of 32 ( is should mention that this does fluctuate in between changing things in the scene sometimes so it could have very well jumped into the 30gb range) and the beeping occurred when it froze for about 1-2 seconds and then came back and it doesnt happen often. But i came here to check whether this is likely the case or whether its something worse.

The beep code is Motherboard specific, so knowing what motherboard you use would help out.
