Hi Guys,

My name is Carlos and I'm a gamer/software developer, i have been a Mac user for over a decade, and since then i haven't build a PC.
i decided to stop purchasing macbook pros, and build a working/gaming rig and it seems i picked the right time to do so.

I was able to purchase a Ryzen 5900x in antonline and now I'm looking for the rest of the parts to go with it. (eventually i hope to buy an RX 6800 XT, but I'm in no hurry)

Budget (including currency): 2000-3000k

Country: United States
Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:
Mostly i play Dota, and MMOs like WOW, Aion, BDO, etc. so this is an overkill for me, but i don't see why not starting to explore other AAA games, or VR.
i also love Soulslike games.

For work i tend to keep 2-3 VMs open.
I mostly plan to use this PC with Arch Linux, and i do all types of coding (mostly frontend and java).

Other details

The parts i'm considering for this build are the following.
Ryzen 5900x                                                                               $549
Radeon RX 6800 XT                                                                  $649
Asus Rog Stirix B550 (pcie 4, wifi6)                                       $279
Nzxt H710 Gaming case                                                          $140
Nzxt C850 Watt PSU                                                                 $130
Nzxt Kraken Z73                                                                        $270
Corsair 2TB NVMe Gen4                                                          $359

Ram
I'm between
G.Skill Tridentz 64g  RGB (2x32) DDR4 3600.                       $249
or
G.Skill TridentZ 64g Royal Series (2x32) DDR4 4000          $339

i think this puts me around 1600 plus taxes, and that still leaves me some room for the monitor (I'm between Samsung G7 or G9 depending if i can make enough space on my desk for it altough i dont know if this support 4k).
(i already own an acer predator 240hz, 1080p, mouse (razer ouroboros), keyboard (logitech g915), headphones (bose and razer nari) etc.

The questions that i have are the following.
1) It seems people also recommend the gigabyte x570 (like the aorus elite/master) to match with gen 3 ryzen processors and it seem to have, but arent b550 a little more future proof?
2) i have been looking for comparisons between the nzxt h7 and h5, but it seems is mostly the internal space, and i dont know if the parts i choose can fit on an h5.

What do you guys think?
