I just ordered some fans and a cooler to keep my rig quieter from Newegg. Guess what snuck along in the package?

Not a 3080 but I only have 2x8 gigs right now so it's welcome...

If a company sends you (extra) stuff unsolicited, you are under no obligation to send it back and you get to keep it if you want. They also cannot charge you for it.

You are under no obligation to contact Newegg about this, either. It can be argued that it's the "right thing to do", but the law is siding on the side of "don't give a damn and keep it". So no, it is most definitely NOT theft.

Their mistake =/= you're committing theft.

Hmm, I didn't know that. I guess it can't hurt.

It should work, just keep similar DIMMs one slot apart from each other

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
