With the changes to world of warcrafts terms of service, key broadcasting software is now not allowed. With this being changed I wanted to start multiboxing and was looking for a hardware solution for using same keyboard and mouse on 2 different pcs at the same time.  Far as i can tell with kvm switches it lets you use same keyboard and mouse on different pcs but not at the same time?  Also with any usb splitters I have seen say they cant be used to power keyboard on 2 different pcs at same time.  Anyone know of anything that would work with what I am trying to do?

Physically USB devices aren't designed to service multiple clients. The nature of USB is to provide functions to one computer. KVM switches are a way to manage multiple machines with one KVM and USB splitters are just a way to connect more devices to a single USB port.

I don't have any ideas for you as far as mirroring the input of a USB keyboard/mouse across multiple computers but if you want the functionality of a KVM switch without the KVM you can look into Synergy.

I don't think you can duplicate the Keyboard/Mouse input with off the shelf hardware.

Software might be a way to go.

software is against the rules, wonder if i use an older keyboard that isnt usb if i can find a way to do what i want
