Budget (including currency): £1350 UK

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cyberpunk 2077, GTAV, ARMA3, Squad, Far Cry etc.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Parts List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/FYzKp2

I have created a parts list which fits my budget and am here to gain advice regarding what I have chosen, it is within my £1350 budget and I would like to know is this a good pic for my budget or are there better parts to spend my money on? I’d like to run games on high settings for 1440p if they are single player with good frames, for multiplayer I would like 1080p at over 100 frames on max settings if possible. From my limited knowledge I am unaware of any bottlenecks going on but again I only have limited knowledge.

Also if anyone has any first time builders advice that would be much appreciated as this is my first build and it does appear quite daunting at the moment.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Watch multiple build videos seems like a good compilation.  They will generally have multiple tips in them.

also I can’t make the build link work.  May be a “my fault” thing.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

If going with the 3600 (for example due to availability) you can definitely go with the "non X" version if it makes a price difference to save some money. The performance in game will be practically the same. The stock cooler on the 3600 / 3600X should also do the job, thus saving you a little more compared to the 5600X which does not include a cooler.

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it a great deal. I had originally wanted a 5000 Series CPU but ruled it out due to availability. I believe my next step from here is to bag myself a 3070 & 5600X and begin the build from there.

Thanks again for the help.
