Obtaining a zen3 cpu

Woke up 11/5 with the intention of purchasing a 5900x...boy did that not work out. Read from one guy that newegg sold out in like 12 seconds (or was it 12 minutes...still). Was anyone successful in grabbing a zen3 cpu? Anyone have any thoughts on how long it will be before you can ACTUALLY buy one of these? Got a bunch of parts laying in the floor waiting for cpu...hope nothings DOA, but that's my fault for ordering early I suppose.

Day two I got one from MC it took about 5 visits over 3 weeks to get the 3080.

Wish I lived closer to a MC. Closest one to me is ~120 miles out. Still might be an option though, if they would for sure hold one for me or let me pay for it online and pick it up there so I know my 240 mile trip won't be wasted.

I got a 5900X + 3080 from Micro Center on the 5th.. But I waited in line starting at 7pm the night before.. Got pretty excited when I found out 3080s arrived that night! Even though I wasn't the 6800 XT but we'll see what benchmarks say first, I'm not camping out again lol. 

 

If you're near a Micro Center I suggest visiting them very early in the mornings.. The get shipments a couple times a week. With a bit of luck and timing, you should be able to grab one.

I miss having a microcenter locally. Mine was 40 minutes away, no my closest is like 8 hours away.
