Whenever I play minecraft which is a game that relies on the cpu my gpu usage is higher than my cpu usage and they're both still really low

cpu: 10-15

gpu: 10-20

ryzen 5 2600   oc'd to    3950mhz 1.3V

rx 5600 xt        oc'd to   1820 frequency, 860 voltage

Performance you see in game?

If a game is really LIGHT in demands... and your PC Power is greater than it needs, dropped usages can just be an indication of a low power usage game.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

In for example a multiplayer lobby I'm getting like 80fps when I look at all of the npc's and theres only like 6, which my usage around 10-15 and 10-20

Multiplayer titles all use differing technologies, not the same.
Many subsystems,... you could very well be at the performance bottlenecks fro mthe game server itself..
Play Singleplayer and that's true performance, multiplayer requires more singlecore performance usually (and not all games use all cores/threads) so sometimes the game just does what the game does and more cores won't do anything.

I put  my render distance to the lowest and got around 1.5k fps

but my gpu usage was 60 and my cpu usage was 20

that makes no sense

To the best of my knowlege, minecraft is single threaded. At least most of the work is done on 1 thread. So your only as fast as that thread can go at the settings you use. It wont use the full of your cpu. Just a thread or 2
If you drop the settings, the more frames get rendered per second and the more the gpu is needed. Thats why when you dropped your render settings, it used more gpu.

Because PC's are WILDLY different in how they are put together from different part manufacturers, each component varies among other components.
Games also don't use everything your computer has,... so what it does use.,... relies on certain strengths, or falls on certain weaknesses within some systems.

so is there a way i can make my single thread faster?
