Hi everyone,

This is my first post, I looked through the other threads but didnt see one that seemed more appropriate so I apologies if this is in the wrong place!

My graphics card died a couple of weeks back, so obviously needed to replace, and while I was on I decided to go about upgrading various bits of my pc, The original setup was built in 2011 ish and was fairly budget back them

With the current scenario regarding Covid-19, and while still having a job at the moment it being by no means 100% secure, I am reluctant to spend too much money - but you gotta have a pc right?!

Here is my current setup:
Processor: AMD FX-4100
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4Gb
RAM: 2x 8Gb 1600mhz DDR3 Corsair Vengance
Storage: 1x Lexar 512Gb SSD, 1x Seagate 1TB HDD, 1x Hitachi 1TB HDD

Cooling: 5x Corsair RGB fans (not the pro expensive version, just the standard ones)
PSU: Corsair VS650w
Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-04 Midi-Tower

So as you can see, a bit of a mashup.

I am happy with everything apart from the mobo and the cpu, dont get me wrong ye olde trusty 4100 still does remarkably well in my opinion, but thats probably because I dont really "push" the system as hard as I could.

Can someone recommend me a new mobo/cpu combo based AROUND what I already have, my budget is around £300.

Any help appreciated,

Cheers,

Andy
