How would you guys feel about buying a used psu? I don't mean like an unbranded grey box of chinese doom but a psu from a reputable brand. I also know that there is refurbished stock on like corsairs website and what not but refurbished psu stock is harder to find than a 3080. Just asking this because I feel like you don't miss much buying used other than a warranty and a cheaper product that is basically the same thing as a more expensive product is a better product.

I usually buy 10 psus at one time (usually with warranty). thern the psus that have warranty i sentto EVGA or Corsair for replament (corsair and EVGA usually replace ther psu without hesitation, with aerocool or be quiet they usually do not accept it because it has "scratches").

After than i end up having 6 replaced psus, 2 psus wiohtout warrabty and 2, who X brand did not accpet for replacement.

the 6 replaced i sell for new. 2 without warrant y i examine and use to build Pcs.

I check that the fan is working, check that it has no blown caps, cables are ok, etc. Then plug it into my testing rig and start testing it. if it works i will use it. if it does not i sell it as broken. (usually 1-5$)

Anyway used psus are faily safe. atleast if they are 1-5 years old and have been used for like 1-3 years. then they are fine.
