New 1070 FTW2 pcie power cables

Go to solution Solved by Zagna,

Those splitters are for PSUs with only 6-pin PCIe power connectors. Since your PSU has 8-pin connectors just keep it as is.

So I'm just wondering if it's ok to use a cable that's connected only to one connector in the psu and then has two cables going from there to the gpu?

I'm mostly baffled because the card came with 2(!) pcie Y splitters, which potentially means 4 pcie cables would be needed to be connected, which makes no sense at all to me

Cable I'm using, which as mentioned has only one plug on the other end, and according to BEQUIET is good for even 1080ti GPUs.

Cable splitters that came with the card??

So just to make sure, I should be OK using the BEQUIET pcie cable, right?

Card seems to be working fine too, I just want to make sure.

Thanks.

I see, thanks! Yeah that was another thing I was wondering why it's only 6 pin connectors, it didn't make any sense to me lol... But I see, I see. :o
