Ryzen 9

Not sure whether I should get a 3900 or 3950. (After saving money but still need a good gpu). Is there a massive difference in performance?

A 3950 has more cores than a 3950.

For gaming, the 3900 is better.

For gaming and streaming, the 3950 gives just a bit more performance.

For video editing, the 3950 is better.

compared to the 3900X its more expensive, same amount of cores, the same amount of GHz so I don't see why I should. Thanks for the feedback though.

that's not all there is to it. despite having "the same amount of GHZ", it's 20% or so faster.

thanks for the suggestion but I'm good I'd rather stick to the 2 i suggested. also I went on versus.com and it seems the 3900X is better than the 5900X and the 3950X is better than the 5950X

that is completely false, they are not on the market yet, so versus doesn't know how to compare them. the 5900x is expected to be 15-20% better than the 3900x, same withthe 5950x. but you do what you want. you've asked for advice, I've given you advice, it's your choice in the end.

Check it before because I doubt you've seen the amount of statistics it measure. (cores, TDP, L1+L2 cache etc).
