Upgrading laptop RAM -- What to look for?

VicRik

Hi guys,

I have recently bought a laptop which has 8GB of RAM. I would like to upgrade it to 16GB and I have confirmed that there is a slot available.

The RAM that is currently in there is 2933Mhz. Is there anything else to look out for when buying RAM aside from buying the same speed?

Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,

VicRik

Which laptop do you have and the specs?

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Get the same module if possible.

If not the speed alone is enough.

Ok in this case get the same speed if possible the same manufacturer eg. Samsung, Crucial etc.. Also your laptop does not support speeds greater than 2933MHz so any faster would be a waste.
