Hi all,

This might be the wrong place for this question, and if so I apologize.

I'm currently trying to move all the photos from my girlfriend's phone into a hard drive, then delete the ones she doesn't need any more. To save the ones she wants, she is putting them into a specific album.

Is there any way we can delete all photos that aren't in that album. Googling isn't bringing up anything useful, and somehow she has 2800 photos so we'd rather not do it individually haha.

Thanks for the help

iPhones are a bit finicky with connections to computers but I believe they'll still allow you to copy photos across. So I'd suggest that you plug the iPhone into your laptop or desktop computer, create a new folder on your computer, and copy all the photos into that.

Once you have a copy of all the photos on your computer, have your girlfriend put the photos she wants to keep into their own folder, then plug in your hard drive and copy only that folder across to the hard drive.

Then you can simply delete the photos off your computer and the iPhone and you will be left with a copy of only the photos your girlfriend wants, on the hard drive.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

If I understood you correctly you want to copy all photos currently on the phone to a hard drive, then only keep the needed photos on the phone. If that is what you meant, I don't know if there is a way to do that, it might be easier/you might have to just delete all the photos from the phone (after backing up to the hard drive of course) then transfer the ones you want back.
