Notifications are messed up

Go to solution Solved by colonel_mortis,

The notifications (checking for new replies to the topic that you're viewing and checking for new notifications) are sent by different mechanisms that aren't synchronised and have different backoff rates, so it is expected that they won't sync up. I agree that it's a bit weird, but it would need a reasonable amount of rearchitecting for IPS to be able to fix it.

The bug where the notification flashes up then hides itself immediately has been reported to IPS, but I don't know when it will be fixed.

Browser, version and OS: Samsung, Android 10

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

What happened?

Sometimes notifications are displayed for a very long time or don't go away at all until I dismiss then, other times they only show up for a split second and then disappear immediately.

Also sometimes it says "... has replied" and few minutes later it says "... has quoted you" for the same message, other times it's the others way around, sometimes there isn't a 2-3 minutes pause between both notifications (that's how it should be imo)

What did you expect to happen?

I should get both notifications in short succession and the time they're being displayed should always be the same and long enough to actually read it and react to it as well (so maybe 10 seconds instead of 0.5 seconds for example)
