Molotov cocktail shower in Bahrain (video of carnage)

Askew

Imagine a large group coming out of nowhere into the street and throwing several cases of molotovs into a concentrated area, much surprise.

You can hear what sounds like gunfire, I presume this is the police firing upon the mob.

(Video does not contain anything graphic)

Protesters attack police with their weapon of choice, the molotov cocktails. They wanted reform and democracy, in a country that has been ruled by the royal al-Khalifa family for more than 200 years. Many of the protesters are Shia Muslims, who are the majority of the population in this tiny country.

Did peaceful protests not work?

I suspect not, I'm hoping somebody will come to the thread and shed some light on the situation, I only have just seen this and become aware of there even being a situation because Anon tweeted it.

I really hope they get what their protesting for. The age of absolute power under one regime is to be scrapped.

Actually they are fairly stable. Gas is only flammable in its gaseous form, so with the rag stuffed into the bottle only whatever gas soaks into the rag and then evaporates out the top lights on fire. Inside the bottle itself should be too starved of oxygen to ignite if it's made right.
