Roast my crappy build

I'm sure no one cares because its Intel, but I just wanted to post my poor slow, underpowered little PC on the interwebs for the world to criticize. Before you mention it, the CPU block is sideways because if I mount it any other way, the tubes don't quite reach where the rad is mounted. Anyways, have at it

 

9900k, 5.1 @1.315v

16gb OLOy DDR4-2666 @ 3733 MHz

Gigabyte Z390 Designare

Evga CLC 360 + 3x industrial NFF-12s (running intake because room ambient is lower than case ambient, duh)

RTX 2070 Super Founders (leftover from previous build, 3080 coming soon) 

WD 128GB NVMe boot (more than enough for just the OS)

2x Adata 256gb SSDs in RAID-0

2x 1tb WD Black HDDs

1x NFS-12 & 1x NFA-9 for exhaust (yes, I do need 2 exhaust fans)

3x UpHere RGB ring fans for front intake

Seasonic Focus Gold 650 

Deepcool Matrex 70 case (because why spend too much on a metal box)

I'm assuming this is a joke right? This is by no means a crappy, slow, underpowered PC. Maybe the RAM speeds could be a bit better, but that doesn't matter as much with Intel.

Yes I was being a bit facetious. But I think 3733 on 2666 RAM is pretty good

Yes, that's the point. It's robbing it of the warm air that normally collects there. I've noticed that the gpu seems to intake its own exhaust back in if I don't have that fan there. GPU temps dropped about 5c when I added it

ngl if youre getting a 3080 you might wanna upgrade your PSU LOL

Part from the bad airflow case I see nothing bad about this system. It will for sure have negative pressure cuz well that front panel prevents a lot of air from getting in but otherwise nothing wrong.

 

The psu will not cut it for a 3080 tho.

nice im going to have to try that and see ive got a 2060ko i wish i could get the temps down in it

The 2060ko doesn't have a great cooler. Much more than good front airflow with a not restricted front panel and open slots in the back (be it that the covers have holes or there aren't any) there is little else you can do.

Its actually quite positive pressure because the Noctuas on the rad are intake

Oh that does help a lot the front might as well not exist for air intake :p.

i have a matlic gear neo air it does have great air flow but i dont have it on top of my desk its one of the desks that has a tower cubby that you can pu tyour monitor on top of so the exaust gets blocked some just a lil more to get the hot air for under the card should help me

Yeah the front RGB fans are mostly for eye candy, but at least they help to recirculate the warm air in the case

I feel the same way. Didn't like the brown at first, but I grew to love it. I see the build must have intrigued you, since your mouse scroll wheel didn't get a workout.
