gpu not support vulkan

so i just got a 970 from my friend and it was fine and good

in the past few days i was playing RDR2 with vulkan and even gpu-z sead that it is supporting vulkan

until an hour ago i open the gpu z and i saw this

i DDU it and reinstall the latest driver which was running before but nothing changed

even it switched to directx12 in RDR2 and there is no option to change it

what exactly is happing here???

what? even gtx 600 series supports vulkan its likely a rive issue du and install an older version

it was working with this driver until 2 weeks ago and even yesterday on vulkan

but not today

a driver issue as i said ddu again and install an older driver

According to NVidia all drivers add Vulkan support. Some others seem to have had similar issues and only re-installing the driver has helped.

it was working on the new driver and stopped working for whatever reason

ddu didn't help

previous driver helped!

I reinstall GPU drivers (old and new both tried), installed Vulkan SDK and rt installer but still Vulkan is not supported showing. My problem is somehow similar to yours rdr2 problem

if i remember correctly, i just ddu it several times and it ended up working again

though i cant remember exactly what i did as it was 2 years ago but there is nothing to worry about

its all software and the fact that you haven't encountered any hardware problem means it will be fixed eventually

how about a fresh windows install?

sometimes software problem goes beyond our imagination

I re installed win 10 but still Vulkan is not showing

You updated your "radeon graphics driver" when you have an Nvidia card?

yeah but vulkan wont work, if oyu are using your pgu, it only works if you are using your integrated gpu, which you should not use for obivious reasons

I don't know what happened but vulkan is working fine now for nvidia gpu
