Other details Son planning new gamming rig. Tired of his current i7 4th Gen. He looking at possibly the new Ryzen 7 - 5800x that coming out in Nov

 

Looking and was thinking something like this....

NZXT H710 MID-TOWER ATX CASE 

 

Going to take his Asus 2070 and a 2TB WD Gold and transplant into the above.

Not firm on case, but wondering if anyone had additional suggestions / comments.

He got two 144 Mhz monitors connected as well...

Hold off on building a list up for about a month.

The new AMD/Nvidia cards would fit in with this budget and so will AMD's new chips.

solid parts list but the 970 evo is pretty excessive for a gaming PC. Try this:

You can squeeze in some faster ram and wifi, and unless you love the look of the H710 a lot, I recommend this instead. Very stylish and great airflow.

 

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
