Where to begin, after watch linux. I decided to build my pc in a desk. It ran good for 1 year, them i started to had issue with random bluescreens. Second years it just crash on boot or not boot at all. I when from windows 10, to ubuntu to manjaro, and still had issues.

I replace the motherboard, warranty the cpu, ram, and no luck.

The weird thing to me is that with 16gb, the system crashes, but with on 8gb it runs ok. I using dual sticks. At this point i not sure if replacing the ram would help. Since by now the system is 90% new.............

Ryzen 5 2600 stock

Gskill 2 stick 16gb, 2400ghz.

580x

Msi gaming plus x470

Cx 650m power supply.

No software.........

Just an FYI, its Linus. 😉

If it runs fine with one 8gb stick, does it work fine with the other 8gb stick in the same slot?

If both work fine by themselves in the primary slots, but when both sticks are used the system has issues, i would think its motherboard related.

Have you confirmed that exact memory kit is qualified on your motherboard?

Also, you might try a single stick in another slot. Many systems will run with a single stick in various slots, but of course give a boot message and/or have an impact to performance. If it will boot though, then that would allow you to test the secondary slots on the board, maybe determine if a slot is bad somehow?

Perhaps you resolved what originally caused an issue, but also had a new problem happen. Its not uncommon for a static shock to take out a memory controller or something.

try running it with docp disabled, could just be unstable settings/voltages. have you double checked your mobo manual to make sure you are using the correct slots for dual and single? if you can't get in to bios because of the boot issue, see if clearing the cmos will let you boot.

I did that, had issue with one stick. Warranty the ram. After receiving new ram, i continues to had issue, replace the motherboard. Same issue, Warranty cpu. Same issue

Ok, i  made to bios settings, i actually running xmp. As for slots msi has optimized ram slot warning screen before do it going into bios. It will boot on non optimized slot but n still cant get pass bios screen.

Do you have an OS on a stick that you can boot to, help eliminate the os?

Or even download windows and see if you can boot the install, if you can not boot to the install then its hardware.

At that point if the memory is qualified for the mobo and if the bios is at defaults, its bad hardware.

It not software, i os on a stick. At this point i not sure wtf is going on. My guess is that old motherboard when bad, took the ram. When i got new ram it did the same. Now i had new motherboard and just the same...... maybe my ram took the new motherboard.....wtf

I have seen this manner of thing happen to all sorts of components.

Curious, you say this is a pc in a desk, have you tried to components outside your desk? Is it perhaps mount related? Maybe a loose screw bouncing around somewhere?

So i been moving my rams around, one stick work on 3 slots, a1 a2 b1, second stick only works in a2 slot. Now is it ram or motherboard or both? And I get this error
