HDD For NAS

I recently had a 2TB Seagate central NAS, but I think it died ( have to look at the device a bit more to see). So I was thinking of getting a hard drive from Amazon Prime day and can't really pick what to get though. I was looking at maybe getting a external hard drive and hooking it up to my Nvidia shield or my Bell router. 

 

On Amazon it seems like there are 2 types of external hard drives a more portable one and a desktop style. I'm not sure if one would runner cooler, quieter or if one is more reliable so I don't lose all my media. Looking to spend under $200 CAD (150 USD). 

 

Also the 3rd options seems to be buy a NAS drive and then buy an enclosure or a NAS bay. I included some links below.

8TB for that price is just unbelievable.

The cheapest 8TB bare hdd is around 150usd.

IMHO it would be a better choice than Seagate, and from video reviews on Youtube if you're careful you can easily open the plastic shell and keep it so that if the drive fails, you can place it back in the shell and return drive for warranty.

Prime Day is great, but I think Black Friday next month will have more options and be a better time to buy.
