so am not really sure how to write this.... so bare with me.

so i choose gaming mode for play one game. finish it in 2 weeks.

turn of gaming mode and now some how cpu stuck at 3.7ghz and not defaulting back to 3.4ghz

no oc has been done nor when i switch it to gaming mode. nor have i mod any windows settings

so am not sure how to fix this.

The max P-state is 3.4ghz. However the Cpu is designed to take advantage of low thermals and boost beyond.

 

Assuming you used Ryzen Master, in the upper right hand corner is the button to reset to all defaults. Select this and restart the PC. Go into bios and reset all defaults there as well. The system should be back to normal after this.

on rzyen master it does nothing. i tried that already...

i know the boost part.  but i did folding and its not dropping down when thermal get higher.

i have reset bios.

only thing i can thing of is rzyn is corrupted some how .. really bad.

It won't drop down until the cpu hits 90c.

have you checked your minumum CPU power state?

sometimes it is set at 100% and the CPU wont throttle down

ive set mine to 5% like an intel system

on mine that seems to be the only way to allow the cpu clocks to throttle down

huh.... so when they mess up this setting. seeing i had no issue till last proper win update.

mine was doing it since before the last windows update

it also gets reset back to around 90-100 when updating ryzen chipset drivers
