Most SSDs come with heatspreaders, not heatsinks. Fan(s) blowing air over the MOSFETs do help.

 

What components are you using though?

you can, assuming it's a heatsink and not just a chunk of metal acting as a heat soaker

 

you can also buy aftermarket small heatsinks for SMDs
