Undo FB Messenger "Remove for You"

I accidentally did a "Remove for You" for a bunch of pictures in Messenger, and I want to get them back. I was intending on removing a different chat, but I got confused and clicked the wrong thing. Is there a way to undo it?

Not really, if you want to see the pictures again you'll have to ask whoever you sent the pictures to, to send them back again since they're the only person who still have access to them.

Well that's kinda dumb. This is in a group chat, so I'm not about to ask someone for pictures again, causing more notifications. Oh well.

You could just ask one person in the group chat separately to give you the photos on private.
