Pulling W7/10 key from HDD

I found a laptop in the junkyard, the laptop had waterdamage and fully unablke to boot, but the HDD, was fine, its curretnly plugged to m y desktop, and running. I know it has a w7 upograded to w10 key on it, but the only recovery program i can find to get the key, has pay wall, and im kinda of cheap.

Anyone know of free/trial software that can pull the key from a secondary drive?

Often laptops don't let you use the key again. You would have to contact the manufacturer and see if you can reset the key.

 

I'm not sure if help with that program is allowed, I'll tag @Spotty and see is he knows if that falls under piracy.

I dont see how this would be piracy? Nothing is stolen, and the key has been paid for. 

As for it working, it works, i am amazed at how few people on here know that W7 keys still work for w10 use, from any w7 laptop, no matter if upgraded or not. W8 and forward, is have no idea, as i have never tested, since thats when it started to be implemented into the Bios.

I know the key is there, RecoveryKey can see it, but hides behind pay wall.

normally the key included with computers is only licensed for use on that computer, you can't use it on another computer. So using it on another pc would be violating the license, thus pirating it.

 

Probably won't matter as microsoft isn't gonna audit you.
