USB hub for WFH set up

in this difficult time where a lot of us are relegated to our homes for work we all grasp to find the perfect work from home set up.

The problem i've run into has to do with my desk setup. I have a work laptop and a desktop as well as 2x 1440p monitors a keyboard and a mouse. I want to be able to dock my work laptop but share my peripherals with my desktop. Due to the use of a VPN i cannot use synergy to share my keyboard and mouse.

One option i could think of is to use a usb switch hub and a dock this may work but could cause issues. Optimally i'd like to find a dock that has a built in peripheral switch with either 2 usb B ports or 2 USB a ports allowing me to switch between the 2 devices. it would be nice if they had HDMI or DP switches built in as well so i can switch between them but its not a big deal to switch both the usb hub and monitor input.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ways around it?
