Hello, I need help with making thin clients from Raspberry Pi 3B that will be taking all data from virtualization server. I want to have on Raspberry Ubuntu. What software or operatívne system I need on server and on raspberry? Is there any way that i could make it possible? On server is currently installed openSUSE. Thanks. Sorry for my English.

Sorry for the very late reply...hopefully this helps or you've already figured it out.

So, I like to experiment to see how I can make my rpi3 useful. I found 'free' thin client software called wtware. It's a trial version that I believe is indefinite, but has a 'Evaluation Copy' on the right side of the screen...I can live with that. This is installed on my rpi, which I use to remote into a vm on a 'server' Not really a server, per se...it's my everyday use pc but I'm running vmware in the background to connect to.

It works great as a simple Windows thin client...not at all good for gaming (it uses vmware's generic video driver), but I've found youtube videos to be acceptable to watch and it almost feels like a normal pc for web surfing. I really don't have a use for this, but enjoy new projects with rpi's. At the very least, it makes for a good terminal to look something up on when I'm playing a full screen game, but need to google something...

I'm pretty impressed, especially since I'm connecting to my remote desktop via wifi and everything feels pretty snappy.

Basically a remote desktop client. So it remotes into anouther pc or vm and then displays that on a monitor and connects a keyboard and mouse to the network.

I'm not as much of an expert in this area as some folks on here. However, as Electronic Wizardy said, a thin client is usually a low powered computer that on it's own wouldn't be able to do much. It remotes into a much more powerful computer (or server) and uses its resources to do the heavy lifting. The thin clients job more or less is to stream what is going on, so you (almost) feel like you're sitting right in front of the pc. It's great if you want to connect to a pc that is located at your workplace or another room.

In my case, I'm using a rpi 3 which would not be able to run Windows 10 on it's own. Instead, it 'remotes' into my main pc and is essentially a terminal to control this pc. I don't know if you've ever used parsec or steam link, but it's basically the same concept.
