I went from throttling down from 4ghz to 3700mhz at 87C+ to over 4.1ghz staying under 80C doing the same things.
The tool I linked above achieved similar results as I did on my own, took maybe an hour. The cinebench bit can be skipped if you just want the performance increase without caring about how it's x% better than stock. There's a guide on usage included in the link as well, as noted read it.

The idiot's guide for idiots I needed (not a replacement for their guide obviously):

1. Reset bios, apply recommended settings listed on download page
2. Start only CTR. click diagnostic button. Tests will run for a while

3. It gives you two results, OC and undervolt, choose your preference
4. input numbers chosen and click start
5. Other tests will run, when finished will tell you results
6. Click create and apply profile, make sure autoload with OS is enabled.

Hey thanks for such info but , 1.4v+ is fine for 3rd gen and idk why are keep saying abt overclock and all , i use my pc on my base clock 3.86ghz but now AMD_Robert said 1.4 is good for cpu dw abt tht bcz 3700x + cpus take that much load and only cpuz shows the real thing rest gives boost and shows kinda fake!

Hey , I m kinda worried abt my vcpu volt its 1.45v ~ 1.47v , No overclocking and all , Its my idle mode *Balanced mode* not any game running on and all u can see at the task manager
I am kinda worried that 1.45v+ is dangerous for cpu at overclocking but I m not even doing any overclock so 1.45+ is horrible thing for me right now
My both softwares are showing same info , (i feel dragon center is bugged so 2 softwares) but all are same , shall i worried abt this or not
If yes then whats the solution for it
one more thing when i connect my monitor to the switches it shows L & N rev but when i disconnects it , it shows all okay
so where is the issue , my vcpu 's 1.45+ or my home voltage issue ?
Help me please any kind of help is imp right now , Thanks !
Spec - 3700x +/ Msi 2070super / 16gb 3200mhz / 750w corsair psu and MSI x570 gaming edge wifi

ryzen stock uses crazy high voltage. Good options are manually setting voltage and overclocking, or using the new ryzen clock tuner https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/clocktuner-for-ryzen-download.html

At idle? If that's at idle, ryzen cpus idle at high voltages but low current, once you put some load on the cpu the voltage will drop and the current draw will rise.

I didn't say the voltages are unsafe, I said stock voltages are crazy high. I suggested overclocking (tuning really) because

That is stock to tuned @1.1875v. Not saying you have to, but highly recommend.

Yeah amd said the same , AMD said till now we have the cpus who takes 1.45 and less than but now we have which takes 1.45+ so don't worry it's normal for 3700x no need to do anything 💁
