1usmus ClockTuner for Ryzen

porina

I have tried running it. The Diagnostic works fine, but as soon as I hit "Start" CR20 opens and then quickly closes, and the computer shuts off a few seconds after. not sure what I need to do.. Im using all the recommended settings for my board (ASUS x570-Pro)

Looks like an instant crash. What clock speed and voltage is set as reference after the diagnostic? Maybe lower the reference clock speed. Also, is your RAM tuned? It is recommended to reset the RAM settings to default or to a stable XMP profile, in order to eliminate any instability.

Apparently hotfix update released. Maybe it is not a bad thing to be a little late to trying it.

I do plan to test and try this, but going to let it mature a few weeks first.

Version 1.1 due next week.. if like me you haven't already tried it, might be worth a little longer and jump straight to that update.

I used CTR, put values in the BIOS and then just changed them till it was stable.

CTR gave me 4.275 GHz which wasn't stable, but 4.2 is

  • 2 weeks later...

So ive been tinkering around tonight with the 1.1 release.. not getting good results.. no matter what I do, cant get it to be stable above the stock settings for my 3700x with CTR. Giving me a max clock of 4050. I can manually set it to 4250 with auto voltages with zero issues. Not sure what I may or may not be doing right?? I would set the Reference to 4200 and ref voltages to 1325 and would lock up immediately after it finishes the baseline R20 run.

Try using 1.275V or 1.25V. If that works, great!

Note:

CTR isn't actually fully testing stability. It can sometimes give a "stable" OC for gaming but a lot of the time it can't pass small FFT. I started with CTR's 1.275V @ 4.275GHz with LLC3 (which I put in BIOS). Not stable, during Small FFT usage drops immediately to 94% or so. Dropped clocks down to 4.2 GHz with 1.275V with LLC3 (drops down to 1.206V under small FFT). That's been stable for me so far!

I had it up to 1.325 and it would still do it. I just have it set to 42.50 in the BIOS with auto voltages and its stable as a rock with great temps.

Wow nice! Just keep that then lol! Your chip is better than mine lol, mine will only do 4.2 GHz with 1.275V
